EXCITING NEW DEVELOPMENT AS SIPPO SOUTH AFRICA ROLLS OUT THE TPA E-LEARNING PLATFORM FOR ITS BSO PARTNERS

SIPPO SA recently commenced the roll-out of the newly launched Trade Promotion Academy (TPA) e-learning platform to the first group of BSOs in South Africa, as per its strategy. The newly completed and launched TPA was developed by SIPPO, together with the ITC in Geneva.  This platform has been developed to support the BSOs in the 11 SIPPO partner countries. It consists of 5 modules covering topics such as market analysis, different market access tools, as well as the most recent module on virtual matchmaking.

In addition, each module contains a comprehensive resource library which BSOs can consult to assist them in their daily work. BSO officials who successfully complete the course modules will receive the Certificate of Completion for each module, which can be added to the LinkedIn profiles of the officials.

A further feature of the platform is the inclusion of a “Forum” which enables officials from the BSOs in the 11 SIPPO partner countries to network and engage on topics of mutual interest in the trade promotion field.

During the virtual rollout workshops with partner BSOs, the SIPPO SA Team introduced the system in general and demonstrated the functionalities of the TPA platform. This included the available content in the different modules, as well as the knowledge content library for each module, containing useful material such as guides to implementing the different matchmaking activities, flowcharts, templates, planning and budget guides and many more.

SIPPO SA is planning to continue this roll-out process of the TPA throughout 2021 by conducting a number of training sessions with additional BSO staff and other interested stakeholders.
