“The Day After” for the Textile and Fashion Industry
Business Support Organizations (BSOs) supported by SIPPO organized a virtual panel discussion with representatives of German companies and DTB – network of companies from the textile value chain, educational institutions, institutes and industry – relevant bodies aiming to provide firsthand information for their members on the opportunities for the textile industry in the forthcoming period
What will happen in the forthcoming days, post – COVID – 19 for the Textile and Fashion Industry? To what extend will the proximity to German buyers will be important for suppliers of production services? Which channels for communication will be preferable for identifying future business partners?
These were some of the questions addressed during the virtual panel discussion “The Day After”, staged in virtual format on Thursday, 25 June, aiming to support BSOs and their companies - members from North Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia to gain access to firsthand information on current challenges and future perspectives in the textile industry.
Representatives from the German companies gradually shared their opinions and discussed the current industry’s challenges and expected developments in the near future.
The panel discussion provided a great opportunity for panelists and attendees to exchange the information, search for up-coming modes for collaboration and strengthen international collaboration between companies and BSOs from the Balkan countries and Germany.
In North Macedonia, the Textile Trade Association – Textile Cluster also took part in the organization of the panel discussion acting also as focal point for the companies interested to join the event.
