Participation of tourism companies in Expoamazónica 2024
Together with Swisscontact and the “Destino Tambopata” program, SIPPO supported regional tourism companies in strengthening their business capabilities for their first participation in the Expoamazónica fair.
At the recent edition of Expoamazónica, held in Puerto Maldonado, SIPPO collaborated with the “Destino Tambopata” program, supported by the Swiss foundation Wyss Academy for Nature, to provide support to local tourism companies with the aim of strengthening their business capabilities and optimizing their participation in this important fair. This collaboration aimed not only to improve the companies’ competencies but also to create business opportunities and increase their visibility in national and international markets.
During the fair, PROMPERÚ organized a famtrip and a business roundtable that brought together local companies that are part of the “Destino Tambopata” program. In this context, SIPPO played a key role in training these companies, preparing them to maximize their participation in the activities organized by PROMPERÚ.
The specialized training provided allowed local companies to develop essential business skills for their participation in Expoamazónica. This capacity-building effort was crucial in facilitating interaction between companies and potential business partners and buyers. Through training sessions, the companies acquired tools and knowledge to optimize their business opportunities and improve their presentation in a competitive market. Additionally, new business opportunities were promoted through the organization of a business roundtable that created spaces for connection and networking.
Participation in Expoamazónica 2024 represented a significant opportunity for local companies, strengthening their market profile and showcasing the commitment of Swiss cooperation to the development of sustainable tourism in the Peruvian Amazon.
